For example, you say to yourself that there are 5 biscuits on the plate and you always eat five biscuits, but today you will only eat 4! You’ve made a concious decision to eat 4 and that’s good enough right? WRONG! You always look at the last biscuit on the plate and for some unknown reason you will always eat it (because you always eat5!) and you ‘feel’ that you must eat the last biscuit or something bad might happen! This is the same for all concious choices to quit or stop something be it biscuits, cigarettes, diets etc because your subconcious brain will always revert you back to how you usually behave eventually as that is what it wants you to do! It hates change if it thinks the old way was better!
